Drone Strike Halts Moscow Oil Refinery Operations

Moscow Oil Refinery, operated by Gazprom Neft, has completely halted crude oil processing following a drone attack on September 20. Two primary refining units caught fire as a result of the incident. The damaged units include AVT-6 with a capacity of 21,400 tons per day, representing 53% of the plant's capacity, and the combined EURO+ unit processing 18,800 tons daily. Since September 21, the refinery's products have not been listed for sale on the St. Petersburg International Mercantile Exchange, with repairs potentially taking several weeks. The refinery, with an annual capacity of about 14 million tons, previously suffered damage from drone attacks in June. It is among several Russian refineries, including those in Syzran and Saratov, whose operations were disrupted by drone strikes in September.
