Ukraine launches 1,000 drones at Russia, hitting Moscow refinery in largest attack

Ukraine launched over 1,000 drones at Russia overnight, including what Moscow's mayor called the largest-ever attack on the capital, damaging an oil refinery and a residential building. The assault killed two people and wounded 20 in the Moscow region, according to local officials. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said the strikes targeted oil and logistics facilities to pressure Russia's economy, using domestically made missiles and drones. The attack coincided with the final day of Russia's parliamentary elections, which Moscow said the drones aimed to disrupt. Russia's defense ministry reported shooting down 1,110 Ukrainian drones across the country, Crimea, and the Black Sea.
