Russia accuses UK and Ukraine of cyber attacks on election day voting system

Russia accused the UK and Ukraine of orchestrating cyber attacks on its electronic voting system during the final day of parliamentary elections, which are expected to favor the ruling United Russia party. Central Election Commission chair Ella Pamfilova said over 100 million harmful attempts were blocked, marking the first time Moscow publicly named alleged attackers. The claims came as Ukraine launched its largest-ever drone assault on Moscow overnight, with 450 drones intercepted near the capital. The strikes set Moscow's main oil refinery ablaze and killed three people, with Mayor Sergei Sobyanin saying the attack aimed to disrupt voting. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky confirmed the strikes targeted oil and logistics facilities, calling them significant blows to Russia's war machine.
