The news site Axios reported on August 25, citing sources, that Rubio told allied foreign ministers the U.S. has no immediate plans for further attacks on Iran. Instead, Washington is focusing on other pressure measures, including new economic sanctions announced on August 24. Another government official said this policy is expected to remain in place at least until the November midterm elections, with new military operations potentially considered afterward.
