Houthis Strike Saudi Oil Tanker Near Yanbu, Causing Fire

Yemen's Houthi group claimed an attack on a Saudi oil tanker off the coast of Yanbu, causing a fire, amid heightened regional tensions between the US, Iran, and their allies. The Houthis said they struck the vessel "Amzan" with a ballistic missile as part of a naval blockade on Saudi Arabia. Saudi Arabia's national shipping company confirmed the incident, stating there were no injuries. The UK Maritime Trade Operations reported the attack occurred 63 nautical miles west of Yanbu. Yanbu is Saudi Arabia's main Red Sea oil port, shipping millions of barrels daily. The attack follows Houthi threats to blockade Saudi-linked ships and comes as Iran warned it would halt all Gulf oil exports if the US proceeds with new sanctions. Pakistan's army chief visited Tehran to mediate.
