Russian drone drops recruitment leaflets with phishing QR code over Kyiv
Russian forces equipped a strike drone with propaganda leaflets urging Ukrainians to join the Russian army, including a QR code leading to a phishing trap. Ukrainian defenders shot down the Shahed drone on the evening of November 4 as it headed toward Kyiv. Commander Robert Brovdi of the Ukrainian Unmanned Systems Forces reported the drone was destroyed near positions of the 427th separate brigade "Rarog." The leaflets promoted joining a so-called "Ukrainian Volunteer Brigade" within Russian armed forces and contained a phishing QR code. Brovdi described the downed device as an "agitator Shahed," noting Russia combines terror against Ukrainian rear cities with psychological influence attempts. Separately, a local resident found another enemy drone with a warhead in a forest park in Kyiv's Desnyanskyi district.
