Russia Strikes Ukrainian Logistics Hub, Power Plant, and Black Sea Cargo Ship
Russian forces struck a Nova Poshta logistics center in Ukraine's Kharkiv region, a power plant in Dnipropetrovsk, and a cargo ship in the Black Sea, according to Russia's Defense Ministry, which claimed the sites were used for military purposes. Drone debris caused fires at industrial facilities in the Russian city of Ryazan, regional governor Pavel Malkov reported, adding that power outages occurred and one person was injured. The region hosts a major oil refinery. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said he held a 90-minute call with U.S. officials Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner, preparing a trilateral team-level meeting among Ukraine, the U.S., and Russia within a week. Kushner praised Zelensky's "constructive engagement" in seeking a lasting peace.
