Zelensky Accuses US of Pressuring Ukraine to Capitulate
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky accused the US of taking steps aimed at pushing Ukraine toward capitulation in its war with Russia, citing delayed Patriot interceptor missile deliveries. He stated the US now supplies only 12 Patriot interceptors monthly, a quarter of previous volumes. Zelensky told Bloomberg that the US approved only part of the paid-for weapons under the PURL program, calling the delay "not a technical issue." He noted the Trump administration now sells these missiles, whereas the Biden administration provided them free as military aid. Zelensky suggested US-Ukraine relations could improve after the November 3 midterm elections. This follows Trump's accusation that Zelensky "never wanted to end" the war started by Russia.
