Brazil Election Results Live: Bolsonaro Leads Lula by Less Than One Point with 35% of Votes Counted

Brazil's presidential runoff election is underway with a razor-thin margin, as far-right candidate Flávio Bolsonaro leads incumbent President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva by less than one point with over 35% of votes counted. The election is the closest in the country's history. Voting hours were extended by two hours following a judge's order requested by Lula's campaign, which cited public transportation problems in several areas. Bolsonaro currently holds 50.20% of the vote against Lula's 49.80%, with vote counting progressing slowly in key states like São Paulo and Rio de Janeiro. The extension has sparked controversy, with Bolsonaro supporters alleging potential fraud and calling for the impeachment of the magistrate who ordered it. Lula's campaign claims the transport issues, including a bus shortage in Salvador, justify the extension to ensure voter access.
