Brazil extends voting to 7 PM; track election results on your phone

techtudo.com.br (Portuguese) —

Brazil's Supreme Court minister Cristiano Zanin extended voting hours nationwide to 7 PM on Sunday, October 25, following reports of public transportation problems across several regions. The extension, requested by candidate Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva's coalition, affected at least nine states including São Paulo, Rio de Janeiro, and Paraná, delaying vote counting in the second round. Results will be released after polls close. Voters can track the tally via the TSE's Resultados app for Android and iPhone, or through the web version in mobile browsers, with data updating as ballot reports are processed.
