Kyiv hit by second overnight Russian ballistic attack, damaging buildings in Podilskyi district
Russian forces attacked Kyiv with ballistic missiles for the second time overnight, damaging an administrative building and two non-residential structures in the Podilskyi district. Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko reported the strikes early on October 27. The Air Force warned of a ballistic threat, prompting a red alert level and calls for residents to remain in shelters until the all-clear. Authorities are still assessing the full extent of damage from this second attack. The previous evening, a ballistic strike hit the Desnianskyi district, damaging a university building, dormitories, and homes, and partially destroying a three-story building in Dniprovskyi. That attack killed one person and injured at least ten others.
