Kyiv schools and homes hit by Russian strikes; Zelenskyy secures Finland aid package
During the week of October 19-25, Russia launched multiple ballistic and drone attacks on Kyiv, damaging schools, residential buildings, a hypermarket, and killing at least three people. The strikes also wounded dozens and damaged ambulance and metro infrastructure. The attacks included a ballistic strike on Kyiv on Monday night that damaged a school, a drone hitting a 24-story building on October 21 killing two, and another ballistic attack on October 22 that killed one person. A massive strike destroyed the Epicenter hypermarket in the Podil district. Amid the attacks, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy visited Finland, securing a new 300 million euro support package and seven agreements. The deal includes enhanced satellite cooperation with Nokia and ICEYE, announced during his meeting with Prime Minister Petteri Orpo.
