Ukraine launches massive drone attack on Russia's Belgorod region
Ukraine has launched a massive drone attack on Russia's Belgorod region, killing at least one civilian and injuring many, according to Russian and Ukrainian reports. Regional governor Aleksandr Shuvayev described the attack on Telegram as "massive," reporting damage to 30 apartment buildings, 35 cars, four private homes, three administrative buildings, eight commercial properties, and three social facilities. Unconfirmed reports mention a large shopping center catching fire, and neighboring Kursk region also faced major drone strikes causing thousands of power outages. Russia's defense ministry claims over 530 Ukrainian drones were shot down overnight across the country. Belgorod is located in southern Russia, just tens of kilometers from the Ukrainian border.
