Ukrainian drone strikes kill three in Russia's Belgorod region
Three people were killed and 13 injured in Ukrainian drone attacks on Russia's Belgorod region, local authorities reported Sunday, with strikes damaging residential buildings and infrastructure near the border. Regional governor Alexander Shuvayev said the overnight attack on Belgorod city damaged 30 apartment blocks, 35 cars, and multiple administrative and commercial buildings. A third death occurred in a village near Shebekino, while Russia's defense ministry claimed to have shot down 616 drones across more than 20 regions. The attacks coincided with Ukrainian strikes on Crimea causing power and water cuts, and Russian drone and missile attacks killing at least five people in eastern Ukraine, including an 11-year-old girl injured in Synelnykove.
