Ukrainian drone attack on Belgorod kills two and damages 30 residential blocks
A Ukrainian drone attack on the Russian city of Belgorod has killed two people and injured 13, according to local authorities, who reported damage to 30 residential blocks and eight commercial spaces. Unverified social media images show fires and damage at the city's largest mall, MegaGRINN, along with destroyed cars and apartment damage. Regional Governor Alexander Shuvayev said the "massive" attack also hit 35 vehicles, four houses, three administrative buildings, and three social institutions. Belgorod, with over 300,000 residents, lies less than 35 kilometers from the Ukrainian border. Russian officials did not specify which damage came from direct strikes versus intercepted drone debris, and Ukraine had not commented on the attack at the time of publication.
