Ukrainian drone attack on Belgorod kills two, injures 13
A massive Ukrainian drone attack on the Russian border city of Belgorod killed two people and injured 13, according to local authorities on Sunday. The strike damaged 30 residential buildings, 35 cars, and the city's largest shopping mall. Regional governor Alexander Shuvayev reported damage to four houses, three administrative buildings, eight commercial spaces, and three social institutions. The MegaGRINN shopping complex, spanning over 163,000 square meters with more than 200 stores, was reportedly targeted but was closed during the nighttime attack. Belgorod lies just 34 kilometers from Ukraine's northeastern border and about 70 kilometers from Kharkiv, making it a frequent target. Previous Ukrainian strikes on the city have hit energy infrastructure and logistics warehouses, including facilities belonging to Russian retail giant Ozon.
