Kyiv hit by waves of Russian drone attacks on October 24
On Saturday, October 24, multiple powerful explosions occurred in Kyiv as Russian drones attacked the capital in waves, with air raid alerts sounding four times throughout the day. The first alert was declared at 14:42, with at least five "Geran" drones detected over Kyiv and its outskirts, including areas such as Obolon, Podil, and Sviatoshyno. In the Shevchenkivskyi district, drone debris fell on a parking lot, damaging cars and injuring one person, according to Mayor Vitali Klitschko. Earlier that morning, a Russian strike on the Obolonskyi district destroyed a one-story residential building, sparking a fire and injuring two people. Authorities advised residents to remain in shelters until the all-clear signal.
