Zelenskyy: Russia launched nearly 4,000 bombs, missiles, and drones in a week
During the week of October 19-25, Russia launched nearly 4,000 aerial bombs, missiles, and drones against Ukraine, according to President Volodymyr Zelenskyy. The attacks resulted in deaths and injuries, with damage reported across nine Ukrainian regions. The strikes included about 1,600 guided aerial bombs, 48 missiles, and nearly 2,300 attack drones. Specific incidents included four deaths in Dnipropetrovsk Oblast, a drone hitting a residential building in Vinnytsia, and a double-tap attack on emergency services in Kharkiv. Zelenskyy said Russia is responding to diplomacy with these attacks and urged partners to maintain military support, including unblocking Patriot interceptor deliveries and supporting Ukrainian combat aviation against jet-powered Shahed drones.
