Drone Debris Damages Train and Factory in Voronezh
On the night of October 26, Russian air defenses destroyed 113 drones over the Voronezh region, with over 70 downed above the city of Voronezh, according to Governor Alexander Gusev. Falling debris struck a train, killing two men and injuring 17 people, including one child. The damaged carriage belonged to passenger train No. 11 from Anapa to Moscow at Somovo station, with five injuries reported by Russian Railways. Power was cut on the Treshvyatka-Somovo-Otrozhka-Voronezh section, halting train traffic and causing delays on southern routes. Fires were reported at industrial sites, a business center, residential buildings, and other locations, with facades and windows damaged across the city. Unconfirmed reports claim strikes on the Voronezh Aircraft Plant and the Voronezhsintezkauchuk chemical factory, which was previously attacked in September.
