Ukraine's strikes on Russian radar in Belgorod open new drone opportunities
Ukraine's defense forces destroyed Russian radar stations in Russia's Belgorod region, creating gaps in the enemy's radar field and expanding Ukraine's ability to use drone systems at all levels, according to the General Staff. The strikes on October 24 and overnight into October 25 also hit Russian command posts near occupied Tarasivka in Zaporizhzhia region and near Holoi Pristani in Kherson region, complicating enemy troop coordination. At least five concentrations of Russian personnel were targeted in Donetsk and Zaporizhzhia regions. The General Staff stated that operations against key Russian military targets will continue until Moscow fully ceases its armed aggression against Ukraine. Separately, Ukrainian forces reportedly eliminated 1,850 Russian soldiers and nearly 50 artillery systems on October 24.
