Ukraine schedules power outages for October 27 across 12 regions
Scheduled power outages will be introduced in parts of Ukraine on Tuesday, October 27, affecting household and business consumers with restrictions ranging from 1.5 to 2.5 outage queues. The outages are expected in Kyiv and the Kyiv, Sumy, Zhytomyr, Poltava, Cherkasy, Kharkiv, Mykolaiv, Odesa, Dnipropetrovsk, Zaporizhzhia, and Chernihiv regions. Household schedules will run from 06:00 to 23:59, while businesses face power consumption limits rather than full shutdowns. The restrictions stem from a power capacity deficit caused by Russian strikes on energy infrastructure, according to Ukrenergo. Consumers are advised to monitor their local distribution operator's official channels for updates, as the situation can change rapidly.
