Russian Missiles Hit Kyiv University Campus, Killing One
Russian ballistic missiles struck a university campus and nearby areas in Kyiv, killing at least one person and wounding ten others, with people possibly trapped under rubble, according to Ukrainian officials. President Volodymyr Zelensky said the missiles hit the university campus, Kyoto Park, an area near a metro station, and residential buildings, emphasizing there were no military targets nearby. Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko reported most of the wounded were students from a university dormitory, with nine hospitalized. The emergency service said the deceased was found in a destroyed non-residential building in the Dnipro district, not on university grounds. Kyiv experienced a technical failure in its air raid alert system on October 26, triggering eight alarms in 11 minutes.
