Zelensky names main goal of Ukraine-US-Russia talks in November

unian.ua (Ukrainian) —

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky stated that the main goal of the upcoming trilateral talks between Ukraine, the US, and Russia in November is to bring negotiations closer to the level of leaders to achieve concrete agreements on a ceasefire. Zelensky said the meeting will discuss halting strikes on energy infrastructure and at sea, restoring full grain exports, and further prisoner exchanges. He noted the venue is not final, with Abu Dhabi and other Middle Eastern or European locations being considered, and that the US confirmed the November meeting after consultations in Oslo and St. Petersburg. Zelensky emphasized that Ukraine expects the talks to have practical continuation and create conditions for a leaders-level meeting, which he considers the most important result. He also expressed a desire for European participation in the process, while Kremlin aide Yuri Ushakov said Moscow is ready for talks after November 4.
