Portugal and Ukraine discuss joint drone factory construction

Portugal and Ukraine discussed the possibility of jointly building a drone factory in Portugal during a bilateral meeting between President António José Seguro and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky in Madrid. Seguro said the proposal was raised at the meeting and will now be developed by competent entities, namely the Portuguese government. Zelensky also discussed Portugal's support for Ukraine's energy system and joint arms production opportunities. The meeting occurred on the sidelines of the 30th Ibero-American Summit. Zelensky thanked Portugal for its consistent political, military, and financial support since the war began, while Seguro expressed hope that upcoming peace talks could end the war based on international law and Ukraine's territorial integrity.
