Kyiv Mayor Klitschko says Zelensky ignores his meeting requests on city issues
Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko said he has repeatedly requested a personal meeting with President Volodymyr Zelensky to discuss the capital's problems but has received no response, describing the situation as "a signal into space." Klitschko stated that despite the president's busy schedule, communication between central and city authorities is necessary since Kyiv is the "heart of the country." He noted there was no direct refusal from Zelensky regarding a meeting. Klitschko also commented on Zelensky's proposal to create a special cabinet for Kyiv authorities, saying he learned about it from media reports. He dismissed the president's criticism of the city's winter preparation as baseless, amid an ongoing conflict over Kyiv's readiness for the heating season.
