Zelensky confirms possible trilateral talks with Russia and US in November
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky confirmed that a trilateral meeting with Russia and the United States could take place in November, stating that territorial issues must be discussed at the level of leaders. Zelensky said an energy ceasefire could serve as a signal of Russia's readiness to end the war, and that other matters could be handled by technical groups. He also stressed that Ukraine would not agree to army reductions or neutrality under any peace deal. Russian presidential aide Yuri Ushakov said the Kremlin is ready to resume negotiations after November 4, describing the first meeting as preliminary. Last week, US envoy Steve Witkoff met with Zelensky in Oslo and with Russian President Vladimir Putin.
