Belgorod drone attack leaves city center badly damaged

Belgorod Mayor Valentin Demidov reported significant destruction of residential buildings in the city center following a mass drone attack, with temporary accommodation points set up for displaced residents. Fifty-three people have used the overnight shelters so far, according to the mayor's Telegram post. Cars, social facilities, and commercial properties were also damaged, while utility crews are working to seal heating systems and clear debris. The regional operational headquarters reported one person killed and ten injured in the strikes, including a paramedic among the wounded. Damage assessments by district representatives are scheduled to begin in the morning.
