news.mail.ru (Russian) —

Protesters in France set fire to a 19th-century city hall in Limoges, nearly destroying the historic building, according to Prefect Maurice Barat. The arson began on the ground floor and spread to the roof, causing the 43-meter bell tower, a city symbol, to collapse. The 1883 building is a listed historical monument. The Saturday protests against the rising cost of living saw widespread vandalism across France, including clashes in Paris and Marseille where 107 police were injured. Prime Minister Sebastien Lecornu blamed far-left radicals and vowed not to be intimidated.
