Dozens of people were detained in Paris on Saturday morning during police checks on another day of protests, which included gatherings and blockades across France. Police reported 61 arrests and 589 preventive checks by 11:00 local time. In Paris, police dispersed a union demonstration of about 100 people near Gare du Nord and a student protest heading toward Montparnasse station. Around 20 people were detained after hooded individuals threw objects at the headquarters of CNews and Europe 1, media owned by Vincent Bolloré. Protests also occurred in Marseille, Lyon, Rennes, and Lille, with over 10,000 police mobilized nationwide. The demonstrations stem from diverse groups, including students and former "yellow vest" activists, citing fuel prices, housing costs, and the high cost of living.
