New protests planned after October 24 rallies

huffingtonpost.fr (French) —

Following the October 24 protests, which drew between 410,000 and 800,000 people, new demonstrations are already scheduled for the coming week, including a Monday rally in Paris against racism and two days of action by the yellow vests. A rally will be held Monday at 7 p.m. on Place Stalingrad in Paris to support victims and denounce racist hatred after a terror attack that killed one and seriously injured several, including a 12-year-old girl. The yellow vests also plan a "casserolade" protest outside the National Assembly on Friday, October 30, and a new day of mobilization on Saturday, October 31, for public liberties. The Saturday event, called "act III," will feature gatherings and sit-ins at the National Assembly and town halls starting at 2 p.m., with organizers inviting high school students to join. Student unions have not yet confirmed participation but say neither holidays, cold, nor rain will stop them.
