A youth protest in central Barcelona escalated into riots with arson, looting, and clashes with police, resulting in 128 arrests and 15 injured officers. The demonstration, organized via social media under the slogan "Instituts Indignats," drew around 600 people at its peak. Rioters in black clothing damaged street equipment, threw stones, and broke shop windows, leading to police special forces intervening. Approximately a quarter of those detained were minors. Around 14 stores were looted, and motorcycles, bicycles, and bus stops were damaged. The unrest forced businesses to close and restricted access to Plaza de Catalunya.
