Democrats Fault Trump-Xi Summit for Lacking Policy Results

In a statement signed by at least 19 of 47 Democratic caucus members, they urged Trump to deliver over $15 billion in approved security assistance for Taiwan, including $1.3 billion in funds and a $14 billion arms sale, and to push for human rights and release of wrongfully detained Americans. Some Republicans also called for releasing Taiwan funds. Democrats also faulted Trump's loosening of high-end chip sales to China and said the tariff truce extension fails to address supply chain issues like China's rare earth refining dominance.
