Trump gives Xi tour of Marine One and new White House helipad

President Donald Trump gave Chinese leader Xi Jinping a 20-minute tour of the White House South Lawn on Thursday, showcasing his Marine One helicopter and a new granite helipad, following their closed-door Oval Office meeting. The display came during Xi's first U.S. state visit in 11 years. The tour occurred after 90 minutes of talks covering thorny issues like artificial intelligence risks, Taiwan, tariffs, and the war in Iran. Trump showed Xi the helicopter's interior, pointed out the presidential seal on the landing pad, and gestured toward a ballroom under construction where the East Wing once stood. Trump also walked Xi past portraits in the West Wing, including a depiction of an autopen signing Biden's name, a jab at his predecessor. Trump joked about a photo of the two leaders from his May Beijing visit, saying "We have a lot of respect for you."
