US invites Putin to Miami G20 summit, hopes he attends

He said an ideal outcome would be a meeting producing concrete results, and that problems require engaging with those you disagree with. Bloomberg reported Putin would likely skip the U.S. G20 summit. Putin recently declined Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky's proposal for talks on ending the war on the sidelines of the summit, and Trump has said he does not know if Putin will agree to a trilateral meeting with Zelensky in Miami.
