Xi and Trump Discuss AI Cooperation and Peaceful Coexistence

Trump personally greeted Xi at his plane on Wednesday, an unusual gesture, and hosted a ceremony with a period-costume band, military demonstrations, and a B-2 bomber flyover. Senate Democratic leader Chuck Schumer criticized the lavish reception, accusing Trump of an "innate attraction for dictators." Xi announced a pair of giant pandas will arrive at Atlanta Zoo as a "symbol of friendship." The visit is Xi's first to the White House in over a decade, with no major breakthroughs expected on core disputes, though the two sides extended their trade truce to January 10.
