China also committed to importing at least 10 million metric tons of U.S. coal in 2027 and again in 2028, while both sides agreed to address rare earth supply chain concerns. Notably, China's statement omitted references to the investment council, coal, specific export goods, and rare earths, and used different wording on tariffs. Both sides agreed to replace "artificial intelligence" with "superintelligence" and hold a bilateral dialogue before November 2026.
