Xi Jinping invites Trump to China during White House tea ceremony

Chinese President Xi Jinping invited US President Donald Trump and his wife Melania to visit China during a tea ceremony at the White House, proposing potential meetings at the APEC summit in China or the G20 summit in the US this year. Trump accepted the invitation, saying "We will do that. And we will have a lot to talk about," without specifying which summit he referred to. Xi's three-day state visit to Washington covered global conflicts, including the Middle East and Ukraine, as well as trade tensions between the world's two largest economies. Trump previously met Xi at last year's APEC summit in South Korea, where they agreed on a truce in their trade dispute, known as the Busan agreement. Xi is scheduled to return to China on Friday.
