China and US establish AI communication channel after Xi-Trump talks

Both nations will hold regular dialogues on the technology's risks and benefits, with the next discussion slated for November. They also agreed to use Trump's term "superintelligence" instead of "artificial intelligence." During Xi's visit, both sides also discussed tariff reductions on $30 billion in trade each way, including US agricultural exports and Chinese toys, plus Chinese coal purchases.
