Xi and Trump to Meet in China in November

US President Donald Trump has accepted an invitation from Chinese President Xi Jinping to meet in China in November, followed by a December meeting at the G20 summit in Miami, Florida. Trump announced the plans on his Truth Social platform. Xi made the invitation during a tea ceremony at the White House, noting two remaining opportunities for meetings this year: the APEC summit in China and the G20 summit in the US. Xi's three-day state visit to Washington covered global conflicts, including the Middle East and Ukraine, as well as trade tensions between the world's two largest economies. The APEC summit is scheduled for mid-November in Shenzhen, China, with Russian President Vladimir Putin also expected to attend, sparking speculation about a potential three-way meeting with Xi and Trump. Last year, Trump used the APEC summit in South Korea for a meeting with Xi, where they agreed on a truce in their trade dispute.
