The tariff reductions cover U.S. exports like agricultural goods, wood, and cosmetics, plus U.S. imports including small appliances, toys, and decorations. The two sides also agreed to establish a trade council and extend outcomes from earlier talks in Kuala Lumpur. The summit emphasized personal diplomacy over major public breakthroughs, with both leaders planning to attend each other's APEC and G20 gatherings. They also agreed on AI risk discussions starting in November and affirmed Iran's commitment against nuclear weapons.
