Xi and Trump to Meet in China in November
Chinese President Xi Jinping has accepted an invitation from US President Donald Trump to meet again in China in November, followed by a December meeting at the G20 summit in Miami, Florida, Trump announced on Truth Social. Xi made the offer during a tea ceremony at the White House, citing the APEC summit in China and the G20 summit in the US as two remaining opportunities for talks this year. His three-day state visit to Washington covered global conflicts, including the Middle East and Ukraine, as well as trade tensions between the world's two largest economies. The APEC summit is scheduled for mid-November in Shenzhen, with Russian President Vladimir Putin also expected to attend, sparking speculation about a possible three-way meeting with Xi and Trump, though this remains unconfirmed. Trump previously met Xi at last year's APEC summit in South Korea, where they agreed on a trade truce known as the Busan agreement.
