US Proposes UAE-Hosted Trilateral Talks With Ukraine and Russia

The United States has proposed that the United Arab Emirates host a trilateral meeting with Ukraine and Russia to discuss ending their four-and-a-half-year war, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskiy said on Friday. Kyiv is awaiting a date for the proposed technical-level talks. Zelenskiy discussed ending the war with U.S. President Donald Trump this week at the UN General Assembly in New York. Following those talks, Ukrainian and U.S. negotiators met on specifics, with Zelenskiy saying they would return in 10 days with a new perspective or result. The Kremlin said a trilateral meeting could happen soon. Zelenskiy asked Trump to raise the war with Chinese President Xi Jinping during his U.S. state visit. He also warned European partners that Russia would continue hybrid attacks, offering Ukraine's assistance, while the Kremlin denied involvement in recent European sabotage acts.
