US proposes UAE-hosted trilateral talks with Ukraine and Russia, Zelenskiy says

The United States has proposed that the United Arab Emirates host a trilateral meeting with Ukraine and Russia to discuss ending their four-and-a-half-year war, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskiy said on Friday. Zelenskiy said the American side proposed a technical-level meeting in a three-way format, with the UAE as a possible location, and that Kyiv is awaiting a date from Washington. The proposal follows his talks this week with U.S. President Donald Trump on the sidelines of the UN General Assembly. The Kremlin said a trilateral meeting could happen soon. Zelenskiy also asked Trump to raise the war with Chinese President Xi Jinping, and warned European partners that Russia would continue hybrid attacks, offering Ukraine's assistance.
