Ukraine denies Trump proposed Zelensky-Putin meeting in Moscow

The Ukrainian presidential office has denied a Bloomberg report claiming U.S. President Donald Trump suggested that President Volodymyr Zelensky travel to Moscow for talks with Russian President Vladimir Putin. Presidential communications adviser Dmytro Lytvyn told Ukrainska Pravda the report "does not correspond to reality." Bloomberg had cited sources saying Trump made the proposal during a September 22 meeting in New York, which Zelensky reportedly did not accept. Bloomberg also reported that Trump's repeated raising of the issue caused dissatisfaction from Zelensky. The meeting occurred on the sidelines of the 81st UN General Assembly session, as the U.S. administration seeks to restart Russian-Ukrainian negotiations.
