Brazil's 2026 Election: Campaigning Ends Saturday at 10 PM
The second round of Brazil's 2026 presidential election takes place Sunday, October 25, with all electoral campaigning required to stop by 10 p.m. Saturday, October 24. Approximately 160 million Brazilians are eligible to vote. After the 10 p.m. Saturday deadline, candidates are prohibited from using loudspeakers, distributing campaign materials like flyers or stickers, and organizing marches, motorcades, or sound trucks. The TSE may still broadcast official communications on radio and TV, and Friday was the final day for free airtime and paid print ads. Polls open at 8 a.m. and close at 5 p.m. Sunday, though voters already in line may still cast ballots. Voters in six states will also choose governors, with that race appearing first on their ballots.
