bbc.co.uk —

Vinted has removed listings of items believed to be looted from shops during riots in France, taking immediate action to identify and delete such posts since the weekend. The second-hand platform stated it has zero tolerance for stolen goods and has stepped up monitoring of suspicious listings, working with French authorities and police. It may permanently ban accounts breaching its rules. Riots across Paris, Marseille, and Lille led to at least 1,200 arrests and over 2,000 businesses impacted, with damage estimated in the hundreds of millions of euros. Luxury stores and football club shops were among those targeted.
