Trump: Time to teach Canada a lesson on trade

President Donald Trump said Wednesday it is "time to teach Canada you can't do this anymore," following the breakdown of trade talks between the neighboring countries. Trump made the remarks in an interview with Glenn Beck, claiming he had a "pretty good deal" and that the U.S. can get what it needs elsewhere. He imposed new 50% tariffs on $20 billion of Canadian imports on Saturday after negotiations collapsed. Canada retaliated on Tuesday with matching tariffs on about $20 billion of U.S. annual imports and rolled out aid for businesses and workers, responding dollar-for-dollar to Washington's latest duties.
