Trump: Ukraine Peace Deal Could Reshape All of Europe

US President Donald Trump said a peace agreement on Ukraine could be reached and would have implications extending beyond the country to all of Europe. He described it as a "big, great deal" that would please everyone. When asked about Russian attacks killing Ukrainian civilians, Trump said he raises the issue but also mentioned civilian losses on the Russian side, calling the situation a "bloodbath." He met with Russian presidential envoy Kirill Dmitriev but did not meet with Ukrainian delegation representatives. Trump stated the war is "very close" to ending. Earlier, former Ukrainian Foreign Minister Pavlo Klimkin said Trump would maintain influence in foreign policy despite losing domestic sway after the midterm elections.
