Melania Trump Hosts Russian and Ukrainian Envoys at White House Ahead of Abu Dhabi Talks
US First Lady Melania Trump hosted Russian and Ukrainian representatives at the White House on Thursday, days before new peace talks in Abu Dhabi, aiming to advance ceasefire efforts in the ongoing war. The meeting included Kremlin adviser Kirill Dmitrijew and Ukrainian negotiator David Arachamia, with Melania advocating for a lasting truce and citing a recent six-day ceasefire in Oleschky as inspiration. She delivered letters to Russian President Vladimir Putin and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy. Ukrainian President Zelenskyy awarded Melania the Order of Princess Olga, First Class, for her humanitarian contributions. Trilateral US-Russia-Ukraine talks are scheduled for Tuesday and Wednesday in Abu Dhabi, amid Ukrainian concerns over Washington's recent rapprochement with Moscow.
