Trump says Ukraine and Russia ready for peace deal
US President Donald Trump stated that Ukraine and Russia are ready to reach a peace agreement, saying both sides are at a stage where they want to make a deal. Ukrainian negotiators, however, reportedly disagree with this assessment. The peace process continues on multiple platforms, with Ukraine holding a new round of talks with US and European representatives in Brussels on November 4-5, focusing on post-war reconstruction and security guarantees. According to the New York Times, the Trump administration is pushing Kyiv toward a deal that may involve territorial concessions in Donbas in exchange for economic benefits. Ukrainian Defense Minister Rustem Umerov has also warned that unknown parties are attempting to obtain information about Kyiv's new diplomatic initiatives and its negotiations with partners.
